The Best Presentation.
In my opinion, Katie Hogan's presentation was the best because she used many techniques in order to persuade her points to the audience. Her points were clear cut and made sense. She supported each topic with a fact or some unique statistic. Then after she finished her PowerPoint, she showed us the movie she put together. The movie related to when we watched those commercial clips in class. She used the sad music to try to get to our emotions, Michael even said it did to him! She even put in numerous statistics, relating to the clip you showed us about all those dead body bags. This is why i think Katie's presentation was the best because it was well planned and used many persuasive techniques to make us believe her topic.

Although soccer is such a magnificent game in the U.S. and even more in other countries, there are many pro's and con's about the effects that it has in the U.S. Although a soccer is still a very popular sport in the U.S. it seams that the people who play professionally really don't make much money compared to people if they played football or some other sport. Maybe its just that we have made such an addiction around other sports that the most popular sport in the world has just been put aside. One of the pro's that soccer has brought to the U.S. is that it's truly a cheep way for entertainment unlike football tickets. It also is another way for people to get involved as like any other sport. These are just a few of the pro's and con's that soccer has to bring to the U.S.

PLN 4
During class while independent reading, I have been studying, what the lives of soccer players are like and how they compare to other professional sports in the U.S. I have really been focusing on one player who everyone thinks is the best. David Beckham. He plays on the Los Angeles Galaxy at the moment and there are some movies based on him, "Bend it like Beckham". Soccer compared to other sports is really low profile, their pays are lower, less people watch, and its much harder then you think to even play it. I feel like Beckham has a really good life though because he has previously played on some very big clubs in England. For example: Manchester United is a HUGE club and he played on it. In just about every other country soccer, there known as futbol, is the national sport. He must have gotten payed really good. This is just about all i have been studying during independent reading.

PLN Entry Number Three.
This past reading, i read a few more stories in "The Muse". It came to my mind that great literature comes from all different ages. Not just from famous book writers, but kids right here from AHS. Some of the best short stories, I've read in a while came right from the book written by kids that i sometimes know. Recently, I read a short story called "The Last Cereal Killer". It was about this cop that was supposed to hunt down cereal killers, but instead when he found them he killed them. Instead of turning them in, to go to jail. To cut to the chase at the end it showed that at the top of his list was his name. Because he was killing all these people he had been put at the top of the list. This relates to the quote we have been relating a lot of out work towards. "Why good people do bad things".

PLN Dos (2)
In one story in "The Muse", written by kids from Arapahoe, I read a a very short story about how to eat a Chipolte Burrito just right. It started out on how to unfold the foil, to get the full experience. It continued with the first bite and then the second then the third, ect. Each bite you were supposed to put just the right amount of Tabasco sauce on. While reading this I noticed that some people could take this the wrong way. Maybe the person writing this thought that if you don't put the right amount on your burrito, it would be ruined. This could be an act of why a good person, the person writing the story, could be a bad person. Saying that your wrong if you put to much or too less of the Tabasco sauce, relating to the quote "Why good people do bad things".

From A Summer Day (PLN)
In the two days, I read a few stories from "The Muse". This book is written by multiple students from AHS. It's then published at the end of the year. I read a story within the book that was called "From a Summer Day" by Amelia Coyle. This story revealed many traits throughout, but the one that stood out to me the most was, how meaningful someone or something is to you, until it's gone.
It was about a girl named Erin, that had planned on living on the coast of an island. Something bad had happened and she couldn't take it on this island any longer, but her fiancé had wanted to stay and start a family. Soon after her family member got hit by a car and died after being cut from life support. She then realized that stuff happens, but you need to move on. After this happening it Really Influenced her to make the decision to stay on the island. That's why that trait really stood out to me. I also read many other short stories and i recommend anyone to just take a browse through "The Muse".
